France Coast - Avranches to the Loire Valley

Evidence of the maritime history of wars and incursions are everywhere along the coast of France. At Lamor Beach you can see in the top right the Port Louis fortifications built in the middle of the inlet. Below are other fortifications we spotted as we walked further around the beachfront park. I don't think the people who live here even notice them - they are just there - no tourist information, no signs.
